Common Questions
At The Mardiney Group, we often work with clients who are looking for clarity in how they present themselves, whether through branding, publications, or broader communications. Here are a few questions that often come up.
What are the benefits of working with a boutique design agency?
1
A boutique studio can offer a more direct and personal way of working. Clients are often in close conversation with the people actually doing the creative thinking and design, which makes the process feel more collaborative and connected. It also allows for greater flexibility, attention to detail, and work that feels more tailored than templated.
How can a graphic design studio help improve my organization's visual identity?
2
Design can help bring focus to how your organization is seen and understood. A stronger visual identity creates consistency across everything from your website to your printed materials, while also helping express who you are in a way that feels distinctive and true. When those pieces are aligned, the whole organization feels stronger.
How do I choose the right graphic design studio for my organization?
3
Look for a studio that understands your goals, your audience, and the way you want to present your brand. The right partner should be a good listener, a strong strategic thinker, and able to create work that feels clear, thoughtful, and true to who you are. It also helps to find a team with experience across different types of organizations and communications needs.
Can you recommend a graphic design studio in Brooklyn specializing in branding?
4
If you are looking for a Brooklyn graphic design studio, it helps to find a team that combines strategic thinking with strong visual storytelling. At The Mardiney Group, we approach branding as both a creative and strategic exercise, helping clients build identities and communications that feel clear, distinctive, and true to who they are.
Megan Mardiney
Principal/Creative Director
Megan earned her BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City. She began her career as an art director and creative director, establishing the first in-house design department at ENK International and later leading creative initiatives at Vanity Fair Magazine. In 2001, she founded The Mardiney Group, a Brooklyn-based design studio specializing in branding, corporate identity, and publication design. With a passion for storytelling through design, Megan thrives on distilling complex ideas into compelling visual narratives.
In addition to her design work, Megan co-owns Wet Whistle Wines, a boutique wine and spirits shop in Red Hook, Brooklyn, with her husband. She also has a long-standing passion for vintage and mid-century modern glassware and barware, which she curates and sells through her BarflyVintage shop. Follow along at @barflyvintagebk. When she isn’t working, she enjoys NYC’s rich cultural scene, exploring music, art, food, wine, and theatre.
