Museum Exhibit Design
For the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, The Mardiney Group designed What Is an Economy?, an interactive museum exhibit built around a large illustrated map concept that helped make economic ideas more accessible and engaging for student visitors. Drawing on the Bank’s educational comic book series, the exhibit used custom environmental graphics, vocabulary-based learning prompts, and character-driven storytelling to translate concepts such as supply and demand, goods and services, and economic cycles into a visually immersive experience. Supporting elements, including a flowchart graphic, historic comic book covers, a custom rug, and interpretive signage, extended the concept throughout the space and created a cohesive, youth-focused exhibit design system.
