Megan Mardiney grew
up in "Charm City" Baltimore, Maryland. She studied
Communication Design and Fine Art at the Parsons School of Design
in New York City, where she earned her BFA in 1987. She worked
for ENK International, Vanity Fair Magazine, and Element before
establishing The Mardiney Group, NYC in 1998.
Megan has developed identity and branding systems, promotional
materials, packaging, and publication designs for a wide range
of clients.
At the beginning of her career, Megan established the art department
at ENK International, a renowned fashion trade producer. While
there, she used her own photographs and illustrations throughout
her work. Design concepts created for ENK appeared in shows representing
fashion and accessory houses such as Hugo Boss, Lisa Jenks, Jill
Stewart, and Nicole Miller, among others. These exclusive, juried
shows are still the most coveted fashion trade shows in the industry.
As Art Director in the promotions department at Vanity
Fair, she conceived and executed campaign designs for promotional/media
events, special advertorial sections, sales and marketing presentations,
added-value programs, videos and other branding tools. During
her time as Art Director at Vanity Fair,
the magazine sold 4,625 advertising pages—the largest number
in it's 85-year history and an increase of 19.5% over a 3-year
period.
In addition, Megan has served as an Honorary Judge for Billboard
Magazine's "Billie Awards," and received numerous design
awards, including Folio Magazine’s “Folio Award”
for a Vanity Fair April Issue promotional
sell piece.
She is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. |
